Project Description

Nonplusultra

Human needs and desires are accompaning every technological development of social significance. For his photo book NONPLUSULTRA, photographer Janosch Boerckel visited the birthplaces of these creations: labs. His award-winning work show prostheses that could replace limbs, robots which can see, hear and

work in hostile environments for humans, or simply play table tennis. In order to match the clean and technical look of Boerckel’s images, the book’s layout features a squared grid, reminicint of math paper, which dictates the design. In addition, the front and back cover where laser printed on brass.
