Project Description
Abstract Comics Magazine
Abstract comics are a relatively new niche genre in the fast moving world of comic books. Its roots can be traced back to a 1968 short story by Robert Crumb, but it was the book Abstract Comics by Andrei Molotiu from 2009 that brought the style to wider public attention. These zines are continuing
the tradition of these wordless and mysterious stories. They are more reminiscent of modernist art than your average comic strip and are focused on mashing fashion photography, cutting up patterns as well as structures and rearranging them.
